Ford toughed it out till late in the first, and only, round. George took advantage when Ford dropped his guard, landing a mean right hand punch to the jaw. The Ref stopped the fight at 2:59. Comanche Boy in training

Undefeated, Super Middleweight contender, George “Comanche Boy” Tahdooahnippah (22-0-1) is currently training for a six round bout on April 22 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, for Tulsa Charity Fight Night XIX.. “I'm fighting Dave Saunders (9-8) of Cincinatti, Ohio,” Tahdooahnippah said. “He's a tough fighter and guys like him are dangerous, because they have nothing to lose and everything to gain. I won't let him gain confidence. I will take him out! Training has been going well with my head trainer David Vaughn, and my strength and conditioning trainer Asaan Fife has me ready to go.”

Tahdooahnippah is also pleased to be on a card that will help some important charities, the Indian Nations Council and the Boy Scouts of America.

In addition to his own training, Tahdooahnippah is the Health Promotions Coordinator for the Comanche Nation Diabetes Program, which consists of encouraging the Comanche people to become more physically active with an exercise regimen and also make healthier choices in their diet and eating habits. “Our fitness center serves about 75 people a day,” Tahdooahnippah said, “and it's not limited to Comanches, but anyone in the community and other tribes. “

Training, working for his tribe, and fighting are not the only areas Tahdooahnippah is making strides in. This May he will graduate from Cameron University in Lawton, OK with his Bachelor's degree in Business Management. Upon completion of his degree, Tahdooahnippah will take another career step and travel to Las Vegas to work with trainer Jeff Mayweather, who he and his team believe will add the experience to take him to the next level.

A new trainer isn't the only new addition Tahdooahnippah will welcome to his life. In August he and his wife Mia will welcome their first baby girl. “My wife and I are excited about a girl,” he laughed. “This is our fourth child, we have three boys already so this will be a little different.” And how would a proud father feel about his daughter entering the boxing ring? “Like I said with all my boys, I support whatever sport they choose. If she chooses to be a boxer like her daddy, then I will support it!”
